Learning energy efficiency through TRIBE videogame with 150 students

21 - December - 2017

“Why is energy efficiency important?”, “How can I save energy at home?” or “Do we really consume that much energy?”. These are some of the questions that TRIBE’s specialist answered during the two activities organized in Zaragoza (Spain) to promote energy efficiency among students.

More than 150 students from the Azucarera High School participated in the workshops that took place at the main school and at an exhibition centre of the city.

In both of them, researchers from TRIBE presented the main goals and activities of the project project in an educative way. Specially, students were introduced to the field of energy efficiency in public buildings by means of the TRIBE videogame and the 250 energy efficiency measures gathered by the project.

Students showed great interest, and several questions were answered and discussed regarding both the videogame and the energy efficiency measures. In addition, they were able to understand the role that their high school is playing within TRIBE (is one of the main pilots) and how their behavior can improve the energy performance of their building with simple actions such as turning off the lights or using properly the electrical devices.

On behalf of TRIBE we would like to thank to all the students who attended the workshops, you made us have some really special moments!
